Information on classes:

No previous experience necessary. Minimum of 2 person to sign up for a class. 24hr notice required on signing up for a class. Ages 4 and up welcome, suggest ages 4-10 be accompanied by an adult . Scheduling is first come first serve. All tools, materials, instruction and kiln time provided. Please allow 5 days for pick up of finished work. Start and ending times are flexible. Feel free to arrive to class 15 minutes early to get settled in. Parking available next to Villa Park Historical Society.

Service Description

In this month-long class, students will create a kiln-formed glass birch tree scene using layered sheet glass, frit, and powder. Meeting once a week for 1.5 hours, each session focuses on building depth, refining composition, and using multiple firings to develop the final piece. Instruction includes basic design planning, layering techniques, and simple coldworking for finishing. Students will complete one kiln-formed birch scene by the end of the course. Schedule: • 1.5 hours per session • Meets once a week for 4 weeks Skill Level: beginners and intermediate welcome.
